APRIL 2009

The living and working space for the ceramic artist Jun Kaneko and his wife Ree Schonlau, part of the larger KANEKO complex, is finally being inhabited. The industrial space of about 12,000 SF underwent an extensive renovation and minimization process creating a large scale living space, entertaining space, and a large scale drawing studio for works on paper. The expansive spaces were stripped down to their structural necessities in order to arrive at a clean, unobstructed space for the creative couple to live within their large art and book collection. The huge spaces are ventilated with Big Ass Fans and large tables allow for endless creativity.
