Mack Architect(s) is designing a new building for a dental practice and general retail space in Culver City. The exterior explores the idea of building as signage without advertising anything particular. The LED enhanced facade emulates the streaking lights generated by night traffic. Conversely, its integrated aluminum louvers create afternoon shadows on an otherwise flat and north facing facade. The interior introduces a modern, minimal design that remains accessible and connected to the human scale, while maintaining a cool and hygienic professional image. Through brightly colored translucent glass and dynamic lighting patterns the project offers a new projection of lively yet modest concepts integrated with contemporary technology.
